I’m really happy to have these beautiful Venetian glass earrings as my Friday Feature this week!! I find it interesting that they are coinciding on the Friday I’m spending in Udaipur …a city also surrounded and rooted in a water culture …as well as pervasive color and similar grand architecture! In fact, Udaipur is called the Venice of the East!! I did not plan this symmetry …it just happened. I love seeing little serendipities like that occur. I have always loved Venetian glass. There is a history, an entire culture of glassmaking that dates back to 13th century Venice that is contained within the art of each piece. Each is a unique, one of a kind, stunning work of art.
